Room Description:
All Shared rooms are in good condition with an ongoing maintenance program. Rooms have garden views or views of manicured lawns with bushland in the backgorund all with penly of natural light. The ensuite is conveniently located near entrance door to room and bedspaces are separated by wall with shelving and provision for a TV. Adequate space in built in wardrobe for both hanging and folded items of clothing.

Common Area Details:
Our Facility includes a large loungeroom for combined activities with the residents from all four cottages. External entertainers provide a variety of shows as well as the activities organised by the Therapy Team such as indoor bowls and joint craft activities. Activities are also held in the individual cottages and programes are developed for each resident. Each cottage has 6 communal indoor areas 3 of which have a TV. A variety of comfortable seating is provided to meet all the residents needs. 3 outdoor secure areas are provided in each cottage and 3 other secure garden area where residents can go with supervision are provided one of which houses the facilities pets. We have extensive areas of gardens where residents can be taken by staff and their families - friends which have winding paths and sensory plants.

Additional Care Info:
We are a dementia specific facility 120 high care beds catering for residents with severe and persistent behavioural and psychological symptons of dementia - these residents cannot be maintained in main stream facilities. We provide a high ratio of registered and enrolled nuring staff and all staff are trained in the care of these residents.

Additional Care Cost:
There is no public transport to Garrawarra Centre so we provide a pick up service for relatives - friends from Engadine or Waterfall Station if they have no transport of their own.
