Room Description:
The Rochester Nursing Home Annexe was rebuilt and opened in August 2008. The shared Nursing Home rooms accommodate up to 2 residents and have a shared private ensuite - built in robes and reverse cycle air-conditioning. Private curtain screens support resident s privacy in the shared rooms. These light and spacious rooms are in excellent condition with overhead tracking. A bed and bedside table are provided and there is space available for residents to bring some of their own possessions. All rooms have a garden view and easy access to the common areas.

Each resident has access to well appointed lounge areas with comfortable furnishings. The large communal dining and kitchen area is utilised for meals and cooking activities. There is a main lounge area (74.86m2) which contains a flat screen entertainment system and gas log fire. The additional lounge area (18.15m2) has a TV and countryside view. Large hallways allow residents to easily move about and access the common areas. The Nursing Home rooms also have access to our Activities room (69m2) where various activities are run by our lifestyle co-ordinators. A multipurpose room is utilised for visiting hairdressing services and some allied health services. The attractive courtyard areas and gardens are accessible by all residents. The gardens have footpaths and are fully fenced to support resident access. An outdoor rotunda is used for activities such as barbeques.

Primary Care services are available at no additional cost for residents (where applicable). Staff are available to assist residents to on-site appointments.
