"Prunus Lodge is a 28-bed low care aged facility incorporating Rose Cottage - a 12 bed dementia specific secure unit. Prunus Lodge offers 24 hour residential care provided by trained personal care staff. Each resident has a spacious room with private ensuite and can access a relaxing spa bath if desired. Prunus Lodge offers both permanent and respite care. Prunus Lodge is situated in the heart of the village of Molong and residents are able to walk to the central business centre. Molong has two doctors - a District Hospital - a chemist shop - cafes and art gallery together with the Post Office and Commonwealth Bank in the main street - Bank Street. It is also home to the famous "Molong Gelato Factory"."

Prunus Lodge rooms 1-16 have recently been refurbished and include ensuites - a built-in wardrobe - dressing table - bedside table - a high - low bed with comfortable mattress. Rooms are fitted with phone and TV outlets and individual reverse cycle air conditioning is installed in each room. The rooms are sunny with large windows looking out over landscaped gardens. The Lodge is staffed 24 - 7 and in addition all rooms have 24 - 7 call buttons ensuring that the highest level of supervision is provided at all times.

Well appointed welcoming central lounge room with a warm and inviting environment leading into a dining room with kitchen servery. Also off this area is our activity room containing the library and music area. Outside there are landscaped gardens and a raised garden bed cared for by our residents along with our Horticulturalist. Well maintained and comfortable outdoor furniture in warm sunny positions ensures plenty of quality outdoor time in a facility that can be described as having a country feel.
Specific Features:
Carpet throughout the facility with the ensuites tiled and dining room having vinyl floor covering. Recently refurbished - walls are painted in light warm hues and the feel is very much like home. Meals are prepared on site in our modern purpose built kitchens and menus are developed in consultation with the residents and our Nutritionist.

On offer is a range of social programs designed to meet the recreational - spiritual and cultural needs of our residents. There is a bus for residents outings and a people mover deployed for smaller intimate group outings. Our "Cafe On Bell" opens monthly for residents and their families - church services are conducted - and special days are organised - eg Melbourne Cup - St Patricks Day - etc. We regularly hold birthday parties and events such as special "High Teas" where the residents enjoy dressing up for the occasion. There is a secure under-cover gopher bay provided.
