Room Description:
This room has recently been repainted and carpet professionally cleaned. An adjustable bed - bedside table and comfortable chair are provided. We encourage new residents to bring any moderate-sized personal items that will enrich their lifestyle. A choice of heating and cooling are available. Heating is provided either by a water filled wall heater or split system. Cooling is provided by an overhead ceiling fan or a split system. The room also provides internal and external blinds with views to the established gardens. The large built in wardrobe provides ample hanging space and a lockable drawer. The spacious ensuite provides non slip floor surfaces and well positioned handrails.

Common Area Details:
Residents have access to five internal common areas. They comprise of an activities room - a lounge - billiard area - library - and a lounge - library. All of these provide tea and coffee making facilities - television - and access to covered outdoor areas. The main lounge measuring 17.8 square metres has a large flat screen television - library area containing books - CDs - Videos and DVDs. Adjacent to this area is the spacious central dining room measuring 21.22 square metres. with seating for a minimum of 32. Tables and height adjustable chairs have been recently been replaced. The spacious lawns and rose filled garden adjoin the local retail precinct and have easy access to shopping - banking and places of interest. Winding pathways lead to a rotunda - resident vegetable gardens - sensory garden and a hobby shed. Barbeque facilities are available and outdoor seating is available.

Additional Care Info:
The Hostel bus with wheelchair access is utilised at least weekly to transport residents to places of interest or shopping excursions. Meditation and spiritual healing sessions are held weekly. Light exercise groups are held 3 times a week. Community groups hold their meetings at the Hostel and residents are welcome to join in - e.g. Gardening Club - and the Country Womens Association. The Hostel has a strong affiliation with local schools - and programs are often developed between the two facilities. Lifestyle staff arrange visits from local entertainment groups and "Happy Hour" is held monthly.
