Room Description:
All bedrooms are single - carpeted and have an ensuite. Each resident is provided with a set of keys to enable them to lock the bedroom door - window and security drawer in the wardrobe. All rooms have a full length wardrobe with storage and hanging space - 2 wire sliding baskets for clothing and a valuables drawer. Rooms are equipped with a wall heater - ceiling fan and telephone and aerial points. Call bells are located in both the bedroom and ensuite to page for staff assistance and in emergency situations. Residents are encouraged to furnish their room with suitable furniture and sentimental objects of their choice. They may utilise the picture rail in their bedroom to display photos - craft and art work.

Common Area Details:
The facility is comprised of 3 sections (houses) - each with 10 single rooms - and a centrally heated - cooled communal kitchen - dining room and lounge area with comfortable chairs - a TV and DVD. Call bells are situated in convenient locations and a telephone is available for residents to accept calls. The facility is surrounded by gardens and residents are welcome to add personal touches such as small plants - pots and statues to personalise the immediate area viewed from their bedroom window.

Specific Features:
There is a detached building (The Hall) - which is accessed by a covered walkway where residents can participate in group and individual activities of their choice. A kitchen and toilet facilities are provided within the building. A TV and DVD - Wii console and games - piano - computer (no internet access) - massage chair - craft supplies and various board games and hobbies are available for residents to use. Ample table and chairs are provided to cater for large functions for residents and their families. A covered gazebo with BBQ facilities is located adjacent to The Hall and surrounded by gardens and pathways with strategically placed seating.

A visiting GP is available at the facility for residents wishing to partake of his services. Packaging of resident medications (Webster packs) is provided by the facility. Physiotherapy services are provided on a weekly and as required basis. Assessments are performed and advice regarding mobility - transfer aids is given. A counsellor is available for residents as needed. Laundry services - excluding dry cleaning - are provided.External contractors including Podiatry - Dietician and Hairdressing are given free access to the facility to provide services on-site at a reduced cost for the convenience of the resident s . A bus is available to transport residents to group outings and shopping tours - and for urgent local medical investigations when no other option is available.
