The room is in good condition and is well maintained. Rooms are cleaned daily. The room has a large security screen window for ventilation. The rooms are serviced with reverse cycle air conditioning. The room has an Aged Care appropriate bed - three drawer bedside table and built in cupboards that have adequate hanging space shelving - and a work space that has room for a computer or to utilise as a writing desk. The shared ensuite is large to allow space for a mobile bath and wheelchair access. There is a toilet that has handrails each side. The room is equipped with a hand-held shower hose - hand basin and vanity unit.

1 Large Common area and 6 smaller common areas. The building is built and designed to encourage privacy as well as being able to socialise in common areas. The design of the building allows residents to walk freely around the unit and meet and dine with other residents. From the common areas you can walk out into the internal courtyard which has gardens - paths and pergola seating.

The Rooms C1 to C8 are Dementia specific with 24 hrs nursing care and additional safety features. The facility is single story for all living requirements. There is a large area for resident activities - large TV lounge and TV. There are areas for family and friends to celebrate special occasions in private. The facility also has a large undercover BBQ area that is also available for special functions for families.

The facility has a registered nurse onsite 7 day a week 24 hours a day 365 days a year. All residents have access to the own general practitioner of choice. The facility can maintain palliative residents within the facility in their own room. There is a recreation officer that offers one on one and group activities. A Physiotherapist - Occupational Therapist - Speech pathologist and Dietic visit The Oaks on a regular basis. An Oral Health Hygienist visits The Oaks on a regular basis offering general check up and follow up through telehealth. The facility is able to manage frail health and a multitude of chronic disease of residents with complex health needs. There is a visiting podiatrist.

There are additional services available that are not included in your room costs and these include: Hairdressing appointments and services - beauty therapies and appointments - pharmacy items - transportation and staff accompanying residents to external appointments (The cost of this will be discussed with you prior to each appointment). Residents are responsible for all associated expenses incurred on outings including taxis if utilised - and personal shopping.
