Room Description:
Construction period of rooms vary from 1990 to less than 12 months. All rooms are repainted and new flooring added as and when needed prior to new occupancy. Rooms are able to be repainted (at the cost of the incoming resident) in colours other than that of Finley Regional Cares standard colour pallet. Rooms have built in robes - reverse cycle air-conditioning - television and are furnished with a high - low bed - chair - recliner - bedside table and chest of drawers. Flooring in rooms vary from either carpet or timber look vinyl planks. Window furnishings consist of blinds and curtains. Incoming residents are encouraged to decorate their rooms with loved and cherished items from home such as paintings - pictures and special items of furniture. It is noted that approximately 65% of resident rooms are single rooms with single ensuites. However residents will be charged for a single room with shared ensuite price to negate the need for management and residents having to renegotiate pricing and agreements should they (the resident) be required to change rooms due to changing health care needs such as wondering dementia - other specialised care needs or other as outlined in the resident agreement.

Common Area Details:
The residential rooms at Finley Regional Care are built in clusters of 5 houses with each house varying from having 12 to 18 residents residing in each house. Each house has a communal dining room which is usually attended by the residents living in that specific house - a lounge - living room with a television and a quiet lounge area. Dining room areas are a minimum area of 35 m2 for each house and the combined living - lounge areas are a minimum of 42m2. In addition to the common living areas of each house - residents have access to the Main Activities Centre (90m2) and various court yards and shelter gazebo areas which are located in the gardens surrounding the houses.
