Residents and their families are encouraged to make the room your own with wall hangings and appropriate furniture.

The Banksia Lodge residents are able to use the two village centres that are shared with the self care villas. These centres each have a swimming pool - lounge and activities hall. A billiard table is available. For residents wish to do some gardening in their patio area - qualified grounds and gardening staff are able to provide advice and some materials. Tai Chi therapy and numerous other activities are provided on a weekly basis. Access to the Its Never Too Late information technology program and the internet computers in the common areas are included.
