Lakeview has only one single room with a private en-suite. This room is allocated to Residents who have specific needs which would benefit from a private room. No additional charges are made for this room - and eligibility is based on need determined by the nursing staff. The room is quite large at 18.9 metres square with a beautiful view of Lake Hume.

Common Area Details:
Lakeview Nursing home has a large dining room allowing all residents to dine together if they so choose. Residents and family can also access the balcony which provides a pleasant and relaxing vista over Lake Hume and the surrounding rolling hills. A separate lounge room with a fireplace provides a lovely cosy place to mingle with friends - enjoy some music or watch a classic movie on the big screen television. There is also an easily accessible courtyard where Residents and family can gather to enjoy the gardens and sunshine.

As Lakeview is part of the Tallangatta Health Service - the workforce is experienced and highly skilled. Registered nurses and enrolled nurses are available to ensure high quality care 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Two permanent doctors are available at the onsite clinic - and are available to visit residents in their rooms if required. Tallangatta Health Service has an extensive team of allied health professionals to cater for individual health needs. Occupational therapists - Dietitians - Physiotherapists - Podiatrists - as well as Speech Pathologists are available if required. A very busy Activities team organise a variety of outings - from bus trips - shopping trips - BBQs and fishing in the local waterways. If health deteriorates at any stage - Tallangatta Health Service has both a sub-acute ward and palliative care services - to ensure continuity of care in a familiar environment close to family and friends.
