Each room is approx 19 m2 with an individual ensuite of approx 5 m2. All rooms enjoy a view of a courtyard or garden area. 32 rooms are in a section of the building opened in 2006 with the remaining 60 beds opened in October 2009. All rooms are bright and modern and tastefully furnished.

Wharparilla Lodge is divided into 6 distinct areas with 15 or 16 residents accommodated in each section. Each section has its own dining room - lounge room and quiet room to create a more homely atmosphere for residents. One section is a secure dementia specific area where additional care is provided to residents with dementia. Each section is built around an inviting courtyard area where residents can sit and enjoy the gardens or sunshine.

Specific Features:
Wharparilla Lodge is a modern facility with 6 sections each built around a courtyard accommodating 15 or 16 residents and providing their own dining room - lounge and quiet rooms. There is a well equipped gymnasium with the vast majority of residents participating in a gymnasium program designed by one of our staff physiotherapists to assist in maintaining physical condition. A number of courtyard and garden areas provide places to enjoy relaxation or gardening activities. A workshop is provided with residents participating in individual or group activities some of which are facilitated by staff from the local Bunnings store. A wide range of activities are provided for residents with chair exercises and carpet bowls among the most popular.
